"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." — Oprah Winfrey
Happy November, YMCA Family!
November often brings a sense of thankfulness, gratitude, and reflection – which is needed this time of year. If you are like me, sometimes I struggle with focusing on being truly grateful for all the wonderful blessings in my life. So, I am using this time of year to embrace the mindset of gratitude and I wanted to share some things I am most thankful for, especially all of you!
I’m thankful for our members and how they show up every day in support of our Y – I’m thankful for our Board of Directors, whose leadership and guidance helped to chart an exciting future for our Y – I’m thankful for our talented and compassionate staff, who always put the needs of our members ahead of their own – I’m thankful for my amazing wife and our two beautiful children – I’m thankful for the Lord providing shelter, sustenance and the pouring out of grace and love daily for my family.
November at the Y is an exciting time of year! Come and enjoy some wonderful events —
A nutritional seminar led by our on-site nutritionist, Paolin Hartounian, will help families improve their health.
Monday, November 4th at 6:00pm
Crescenta-Cañada YMCA, Multi-Purpose Room
Our ongoing and increasingly popular slate of senior-focused events such as a paint night, flower arranging, and a social hour.
One of the biggest and most exciting fundraisers of the year is our annual tree lot, which opens the day after Thanksgiving at noon. Bring your loved ones and enjoy special events like holiday workshops and a Tree Lot Marketplace. Stay tuned for more fun details coming soon!
As we all gather safely with family, friends, and neighbors, I hope this month brings good health, lots of laughs and the enjoyment of your favorite treats around the Thanksgiving table.
Onward and Upward!
