Dear YMCA of the Foothills Family,
November is a time to focus on being thankful for all the blessings we have received over the course of the year, some big and some small. As I look back on this year I have so much I am thankful for – I’m thankful for our members and how they show up everyday in support of our Y – I’m thankful for our Board of Directors who’s leadership and guidance helped to chart an exciting future for our Y – I’m thankful for our talented and compassionate staff, who always put the needs of our members ahead of their own – I’m thankful for my amazing wife and our two beautiful children – I’m thankful for the Lord providing shelter, sustenance and the pouring out of grace and love on a daily basis for my family.
Caregiver's Night Off — November 3rd
We’re so happy to once again offer Caregiver’s Night Off, a respite for caregivers of people with dementia. Come and enjoy a special Thanksgiving Harvest & Therapeutic Sound Bath!
As a Caregiver you will connect with others about your experiences/challenges, enjoy a thanksgiving themed harvest and get tips on how to take care of yourself. Together, you and your person with dementia will participate in a Sound Bath — a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body. Caregivers are invited after the sound bath for a time to talk together.
Tree Lot Opens November 26!
You can buy a tree anywhere, but the only place that you can buy an ultra-premium tree, help kids thrive, and support the leaders of tomorrow is at the YMCA of the Foothills.
Our Christmas Tree Lot has been around since 1965 and is dedicated to helping local youth and benefiting the community. A group of 75 high school students in our Youth in Business program in partnership with our 300 high school Youth and Government delegates is dedicated to learning the skills of running a business and raising funds for our youth development programs. Help support our mission by buying a tree with us.
